Answers to Your Queries
How do I access the online nail courses once I enrol?
Accessing our courses is straightforward. You must log in to view the courses. Once logged in, click here, and you will be directed to the dashboard.
Alternatively, follow this path: On the header menu, click ‘ACCOUNT‘, then ‘MY COURSES‘, and finally ‘ENROLLED COURSES‘.
Why is there a Certified and a Non-Certified option for your courses?
We offer certified and non-certified nail courses to suit the different preferences and goals of our students.
- The certified option is designed for individuals seeking formal recognition and accreditation for their skills. By completing the certified course, students receive a recognised certification, which can be valuable for professional purposes or to enhance credibility in the beauty industry. It also allows students to purchase quality branded products unavailable to people without a qualification.
- On the other hand, the non-certified option is more flexible, allowing students to focus solely on acquiring knowledge and skills without the formal certification process. This option is ideal for those who may be pursuing nail artistry as a hobby, to do their own or friends’ nails, or who already have certification and are looking to expand their skill set without needing an additional formal qualification.
Ultimately, providing both certified and non-certified options enables us to accommodate a broader range of aspirations and learning preferences among our student base.
Do I need any specific tools or products to participate in the online nail courses?
Yes, our courses are designed to be hands-on, so you’ll need a basic nail kit with essential tools and products. A list of required materials will be provided in the course manual. Additionally, we offer recommendations for quality products that you can purchase online or find at your local beauty supply store.
Are the online nail courses suitable for complete beginners, or do I need prior experience in nail care?
Our courses are beginner-friendly, and no prior experience is required. We cover fundamental techniques step by step, providing both theoretical knowledge and practical skills. Whether you’re a novice or have some experience, our courses are structured to help you build a solid foundation and progress at your own pace.
Is there any interaction with instructors in the online courses?
Certainly! If you’ve enrolled in the certified course, you’ll be required to submit video evidence of each stage of your application. These videos will be sent to me, and I’ll offer feedback on your work, either through email or Zoom, based on your preference. Additionally, I’ll be accessible throughout the course for any questions or assistance you may need.
If you have chosen the Non-Certified course then there will be no peer communication.
Can I use a practice hand instead of live models for my assessment videos?
Unfortunately, no. You are required to perform your assessment on human hands for the videos. It is essential for me to observe how you prepare the natural nail. Both before and after videos are required, and assessing the preparation on a plastic nail is challenging due to the absence of cuticles and other nail anatomy. Additionally, using a fake hand makes it easier to apply nail polish, but it lacks the realism of working on a real hand, providing a less authentic experience for you.
What is the deadline for submitting my assessment in the certified course?
You must return your video assessments within 4 months from the date of your enrolment. I’ve found that providing a longer timeframe can lead to distractions and a potential loss of interest, hindering course completion. This way, you have sufficient time to complete the tasks with a clear end date and a specific goal to strive for.
How long do I have access to the certified course materials after enrolment?
Once you enrol in a certified course, you’ll have lifetime access to the materials. This allows you to review the content, practice the techniques, and refer to the lessons as needed.
